 Merrily’s
passions are her children, coaching and riding horses. A
native Californian she has been a practicing RN for 28
years, and a Professional Life and Business Coach for 6
years. She received her BSN with honors from East Carolina
University and was a member of Sigma Theta Tau National
Honor Society of Nursing. She is a licensed RN and now
utilizes her extensive nursing experience and coaching
expertise working with nurses and nursing students as a
Founding Executive Partner in the Shift Change Coaching
Group. Kids know how
to dream - adults say "I can't have that." Merrily's
coaching supports adults to rekindle and achieve their
dreams. Coaching with purpose, Merrily helps others find
their purpose in life. Merrily's coaching style reflects her
values honesty, integrity, service to others and joy.

Merrily’s exemplary nursing
experience ranges from hospital labor and delivery, special
care nursery and GYN rotations to office pediatrics, a
hospital pediatric unit and pediatric intensive care
settings. She served as the Director of Nursing in the 1st
“sub-acute unit” long-term care facility in NC. She was the
Clinical Coordinator for an eight-physician pediatric
practice and taught Lamaze childbirth classes for 6 years
during her nursing career. In a unique nursing role,
Merrily worked with the Program Integrity Section of the NC
Medicaid program for14 years identifying fraud and abuse.
Merrily is a member of the
International Coach Federation, the North Carolina Raleigh
Area Chapter of the ICF, The Carolina Coaches, The
American/NC Nurses Association and the American Holistic
Nurses Association. Four children bless Merrily’s life.
Their ages range from 27 years old down to 11! Two beautiful
kittens, Spirit and Faith, provide Merrily with great joy
and remind her of the importance of work/life balance.
