Betsy devoted almost twenty
years to students in higher education, especially in health
related education. A proud Texas Aggie, Betsy was recognized
as one of the Thirty Distinguished Graduates of the College
of Education at Texas A&M. Her highly developed sense of
humor combined with her boundless energy and her zest for
life creates her coaching style--fast paced, bold,
purposeful with great results, and of course, fun! Betsy
coaches people to capitalize on the gifts with which they
are blessed – and to stop bemoaning what they lack. Her
clients become experts at implementation of the elegantly
simple concept of clarity. She focuses on strengths as a way
to maximize personal and group excellence.
As Provost of the Health
Related Campus at Pensacola Junior College, Betsy supervised
nineteen different health related programs in addition to
the traditional academic curriculum. These programs included
Nursing, EMT, Paramedic, Radiography, Dental Assisting and
Hygiene, Health Unit Coordinator, Medical Records,
Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy Assisting and others.
Under her leadership, the Health Related Campus launched a
fund raising initiative resulting in the construction of a
$6 million, state of the art, health education facility. She
developed an innovative health core curriculum through
collaboration with area health care professionals.
Betsy served on the West
Florida Area Health Education Center Board, the Northwest
Florida Council on Aging and the Northwest Florida Lung
Association Board. She chaired the Health Initiatives Task
Force for the Greater Pensacola Area Chamber of Commerce.
She is past president and charter member of the Cordova
Rotary Club in Pensacola, Florida.
In addition to having her
Coaching Certification from the International Coach
Federation, Betsy holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education
Administration from Texas A&M University, a M.Ed. in Adult
Education from Texas A&M and a B.A. in Psychology/Social
Work from the University of Texas, Austin.
